This Privacy Policy describes how Sheet Assistant collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Google Workspace Add-on. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.

When you use the Sheet Assistant Add-on, we may collect the following types of information:

Information from Your Google Account:

  • Email Address: Used to identify you within the Add-on, pre-fill feedback forms, and manage licensing or support requests.
  • User ID: A unique Google User ID helps us distinguish users without collecting additional personally identifiable information (PII).

Information You Provide through the Add-on:

  • Email Content and Recipients: You provide this data when using email features. We do not store this content or recipient lists after sending. All emails are sent directly through your Google account.
  • Document Content and Data: Includes spreadsheet data and document templates. We process this only as needed for document generation or formatting. Data is not stored after processing.
  • Drive/Folder Information: If the Add-on creates folders or files (e.g., SheetAssistant_Output), they are stored directly in your Google Drive. We do not store any copies externally.
  • Feedback Data: If submitted, we collect your name (optional), email, rating, and comments through a Google Form. This data is securely stored in a Google Sheet under our control.

Non-Personal Data:

  • Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage statistics (e.g., feature usage frequency). This helps us improve the Add-on and does not identify you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Enable Add-on Features: Power core functions like email sending, document creation, and Drive interactions.
  • Improve the Add-on: Analyze usage patterns, identify bugs, and enhance performance.
  • Communicate with You: Respond to support messages, updates, or feedback—only if you’ve shared contact information.
  • Legal Compliance: Fulfill any obligations under applicable laws and regulations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share your information only:

  • With Your Consent: Only if you explicitly allow us to.
  • For Legal Compliance: If required by law or public authorities (e.g., court order).
  • Aggregated or Anonymized: Non-identifiable data may be shared for analytical or service improvement.
  • Google APIs Compliance: We strictly follow Google’s API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use terms.

We use reasonable security safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or loss. However, no digital transmission or storage method is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

  • Feedback Data: Retained as long as necessary for analysis and support or as required by law.
  • Email/Document Data: Not stored after processing is complete.

  • Access or Delete Data: You may request access or deletion of feedback data via email.
  • Manage Permissions: You can review and revoke Add-on permissions anytime in your Google Account settings. Revoking key permissions may disable Add-on features.
